My pages are mostly (entirely, I think) 100% hand-coded. I used to use a footer saying so, linking to http://www.ermel.org/handcoded/, which talked about such things.
But, on 2025-10-01, I happened to notice that that page appears to be broken. It is now a 302 to http://ww38.ermel.org/handcoded/, which returned 403 Forbidden then and returns 400 Bad Request now.
I have no idea what happened there. But, yes, my pages are hand-coded. Not generated by some monstrosity that hides all that dangerous complexity from the user (oh noes! some users might be confused! we can't risk that!). Never mind that there isn't really much complexity to hide in the first place; look at the page source to see just how much complexity there isn't, here.
