- Sorted and applied all the Eric Auer's RTC fixes, except those that
look wrong.
- Did some (rather heavy-handed) cleanups and reorganizations, along
with the minor fixes here and there, in a preparation to the
periodic IRQ generator.
- Got rid of pic_seti()/rtc_int8() usage.
