FF XII

That was easier than expected.

I'm replaying Final Fantasy XII. I'm nearing the end of the game. My party is levels 89, 89, 90, 91, 91, and 91 and there is very little left that can really threaten me.

But I just took down the (in)famous level 99 red chocobo, and found it easier than I expected. I just set up all three characters with Bubble Belts, good weapons, and a setup of five gambits: (1) Ally:Any Arise; (2) Ally:Any Reverse; (3) Ally:Any Haste; (4) Self:MP<10% Charge; and (5) Foe:Any Attack. This came from my Omega Mark XII fight, which I recently concluded; there, I had one character wearing Reverse and Decoy and the others as attackers with gambits to get the first character back into the game fast in case of unfortunate timing leading to a death. I had the supporting characters die regularly, and it occurred to me that perhaps I could have set them up with Reverse as well, and skipped the Decoy. So I tried it with the Chocobo and it worked. I suspect it would have worked with Omega Mark XII as well. It probably will work with any enemy which depends on Reversible attacks and for which a party member can take one hit.

Of course, this is mostly neither here nor there.
