This directory contains an email exchange with Nominet, the .uk ccTLD registrar, in which they make it clear they expect the privilege of running the .uk TLD but are not willing to accept the concomitant responsibility for abuse involving .uk domains, which provoked me to block .uk completely. (I later punched holes in the block for .ac.uk and .gov.uk, upon being told by a source I mostly trust that those two subdomains are not run by Nominet. I've also seen approximately no abuse involving them, and until and unless I do see such abuse and find them as intransigent as Nominet, I'll leave the holes in place.) If you have reason to think Nominet's position has improved (as compared to the position they express in this exchange), I would like to hear about it. I don't like having to block a whole ccTLD - or even most of one. /~\ The ASCII der Mouse \ / Ribbon Campaign X Against HTML mouse@rodents.montreal.qc.ca / \ Email! 7D C8 61 52 5D E7 2D 39 4E F1 31 3E E8 B3 27 4B (and postmaster for rodents.montreal.qc.ca)
