raw-data.txt is the raw data file (grepped from the mailer log) containing the delay data. commands.txt is the file logging exactly what was sent for the data-sent incidents ("invpipe delay" in raw-data.txt). The other files are gnuplot output for some of the more interesting ways of slicing the data. For plots where the X axis is time, it runs from midnight to midnight. data-delay-raw.points.gif A scatter plot of the delays for the data-sent incidents. Time on the X axis, delay on the Y. Not very interesting except in comparison with drop-delay-raw.points.gif. drop-delay-raw.points.gif A scatter plot of the delays for the dropped connections. Time on the X axis, delay on the Y. drop-delay-raw.dots.gif The same as drop-delay-raw.points.gif, but plotted "with dots" instead of "with points". drop-delay-hist.gif Ignoring the microseconds portion of the delay figure (ie, classifying all dropped-connection delays into buckets one second wide), this is a histogram of the delays. Delay on the Y axis, frequency on the X. The spikes in this histogram are clearly visible in the raw data plots (though they need to be transposed - I'd've preferred the histogram transposed so it could be placed alongside the scatter plots, but it wasn't obvious how to get that). /~\ The ASCII der Mouse \ / Ribbon Campaign X Against HTML mouse@rodents.montreal.qc.ca / \ Email! 7D C8 61 52 5D E7 2D 39 4E F1 31 3E E8 B3 27 4B
